Whoa! It has been a LOOOOOONG time since I have written a blog post! But I am back with a CHRISTMAS PARTY POST baby! I will give you ideas and tips on how to throw an EASY and CUTE Christmas breakfast party!

Welcoming December 2020

This year has been crazy so what better way to welcome December than throwing a CANDY CANE GANG PARTY!?! A little party full of festive colors to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas and the true meaning of the candy cane!

1. Buy Festive Donuts

That’s right! Want to have an easy but festive Christmas breakfast?? Buy those adorable festive donuts at your local donut shop! No need for omelets and freshly squeezed orange juice! Your kiddos will be ecstatic to have donuts for breakfast!

We started our morning with fresh Christmas tree donuts! Ah, those donuts were so fresh and moist, I only had a bite because I knew if I had more I would not be able to stop…I do not have self-control haha. Thalia is allergic to so much but for some odd reason she does not break out when she eats donuts, which she barely has anyways. Kailani, on the other hand, can eat and will eat anything so, thankfully I never have to worry about her! But seriously mamas, donuts for breakfast is so much fun! My girls were more surprised by the donuts on the table than the actual decorations!

2. Add Little Festive Details

Those small and festive details are what makes the PARTY! I bought the candy cane paper plates from Marshalls ($2 for 8 count), red ornaments straw cups from Walmart ($2 each), Elf ornaments – just cut the string and you have yourself an “Elf on the Shelf” for cheaper! – from Hobby Lobby ($1 each), and I made the “Candy Cane Gang” topper with my cricut! Everything else I already had! Wait until you see where I bought those two adorable Christmas flags!

I have always loved shopping small and supporting small businesses, especially during these difficult times for everyone! I have found the CUTEST SMALL SHOP EVER! I bought these adorable Christmas flags for both my girls from Elizabethandlo! Please go check out their Instagram. I am so pleased with these festive flags! The flags are made with a thick felt material and the names and images are embroidered. I love that I will be able to use year after year! Go check this small shop out! Here is their Etsy shop link. Side note: I am TOTALLY not affiliated with this small shop! I just love them so much!

3. Have a Meaning to your Party

Christmas is about Santa Claus, candy canes, Christmas trees, Christmas lights, and all those other fun things…But did you know that all of them have a significant meaning? Every holiday season my husband and I have a little “Family Home Evening” (Click this link to find out what this means) about Christmas Symbols and this year I decided to add these Christmas symbols to my Christmas Cheer Bag that I sell on Here . My 1 year old is still too young to fully understand and but mamas, it is NEVER too early to start talking about the true meaning of Christmas. My 3 year old now knows that Christmas is Jesus Christ’s birthday and this just makes me so happy. I chose to name our Christmas breakfast party “Candy Cane Gang.” This, to me, means that we are disciples of our Savior Jesus Christ! We are here for Him Because He was here for us first!

So in conclusion…Eat donuts, drink milk from fun ornament straw cups, talk about about one or a couple Christmas symbols, and just enjoy your breakfast with your kiddos!

SIDE NOTE:

Ya’ll know this year has been CRAAAAAAAAAAZY! From pandemic, to Tiger King hysteria, to racial injustice, to murderous wasps (oh, you forgot about those bad boys?!), to human trafficking awareness, and finally to our crazy 2020 elections! I mean, really, WHO IS GOING TO BE OUR PRESIDENT??

All jokes aside, it has been an awful year to many, many people. I pray for all families that have been affected by Covid-19, I pray for all the children, men, and women being trafficked for many reasons, and I pray for our country that has been extremely divided as of late. I pray for each and every one of us everyday. I hope and pray we can all recover from 2020.

Hope you enjoyed my tips on how to throw an easy and cute Christmas breakfast for your kiddos! Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog!

XOXO,
