#1 Give Him the Best 15 Minute Massage EVER
I use to give my husband the best body massages…Then I had kids. I literally can not massage him for longer than 15 minutes. I become exhausted at minute 7 but I endure 8 more minutes. By the end of the day, I am completely wiped out from the day. My husband, on the other hand, massages my lower body for a lengthy time EVERY. NIGHT. I am not kidding. So ladies, take out your massage oils, tell him to take off his clothes, and get to work! They deserve to get pampered too!
#2 Camp Out in Living Room
I have yet to do this, but it is definitely on my to-do list! Hopefully we get to do this year. Right now our 9-month-old baby sleeps in her crib next to our bed and wakes up 3 times a night, so doing this sounds doesnt sound too fun right now. But as soon as she starts sleeping in her room, you can bet I’m going to camp out with my hubby! You can either pitch your tent in your living or just throw your sleeping bags on the floor. Turn on your fireplace and make delicious smores, tell scary stories, cuddle with your man and enjoy the night camping in the comfort of your own home.
#3 Star Gazing in your Backyard
Netflix and chill are pretty cool to do at night but have you gotten a blanket, laid it on the grass (or trampoline), and just chilled with your man? Do it, really do it. Those night conversations are so important. I have had the most profound convos with my husband late at night when our kids are in bed and the world is quiet. We have really broken down walls with this technique.
#4 Truth or Dare: Sexy Edition
Yes, I went back to this middle school game. Expect this time it won’t be, “I dare you to go in the boys’ bathroom,” it will be “I dare you to ______ on my _____.” Yes, I went there and hopefully you go there with your husband too!
#5 Write Out your Love Story Together
Or better yet, make a video! I have been meaning to do this for a long time. I plan on recording Eric and me reminisce about how we met. It is always so fun to talk about this subject because we both have slightly different perspectives on how we met. He thinks he approached me when I clearly approached him. The end result is always love so it doesn’t really matter who is right…but if you most know, I am right.
#6 Steamy Hot Shower for Two
Water running down your body, messy wet hair, natural beauty just exploding off you…I know, I know, that is probably something we don’t feel our best in but, ladies, our men will LOVE this! Let him jump in the shower, rinse off, then, SURPRISE, jump in the shower with him!
#7 Lady and the Tramp Spaghetti & Meatballs Dinner
I mean, come on, what man doesn’t LOVE spaghetti and meatballs? Add garlic bread and they will probably propose to you again haha.
Ladies, I know we expect our men to “wine, dine, and sixty-nine” us (hope you got The Office reference) but every now and then we need to put our big girl panties on and chase him!
